Rathbone Greenbank Hits £500m
The summer of 2012 marked an important milestone in Greenbank’s history, as funds under management reached £500m for the first time.
Rathbone Greenbank was formally established as a specialist unit within Rathbones in February 2004. At launch, it was hoped that the creation of a specialist ethical portfolio unit, supported by a dedicated in-house investment and ethical research team, would prove to be an attractive proposition in a growing market. Rathbone Greenbank has seen the size of its investment and research teams grow over the years; today it comprises eight Bristol-based investment staff and three researchers, in addition to back office support and further fund management teams in Liverpool.
None of this would be possible without our clients, whose diverse financial and ethical requirements create such rewarding work. The key driver has been a steady flow of new business over recent years despite challenging market conditions. This has been an outstanding collective effort from all members of the team, and is a testament to their hard work. With interest in ethical and sustainability issues on the rise, we are confident that we can build on the lead that we have established within the market.
We look forward to building the next £500m, and continuing to lead the market on delivering bespoke ethical investment management.
